My Tiny Home on Wheels

This past March I moved into my tiny home on wheels.  I had been researching small RVs and vans for over a year and finally found the perfect one.  Not actually the perfect one, as no RV is perfect, but the perfect one for me.  Late March, I flew to Lynchburg Virginia and picked up my tiny home on wheels. My van is built on a Ford Transit with AWD, a 2-inch lift and all terrain tires.  She handles the mountain roads beautifully. Because the van has lithium batteries and solar, it is capable of staying off grid longer.

I’m still settling in and figuring things out.  It drives just like a big SUV.  I do need to watch for low hanging branches as the van is 10.5 ft tall.  Parking has been easier than I expected.  I can’t squeeze into a regular parking space unless I can back in over a curb.  I look for big parking lots where I can take 2 spots or park sideways.

There is plenty of storage in the cabinets as well as under the bed.  I have a 2-burner cooktop and convection microwave.  The dinette converts to a second bed, and I even have a dry bath.  (This is a big deal in a van!)

For just me, and the occasional short-term guest, it is perfect!

Now to come up with a name… Any suggestions?
